Missing summer

Going through our rocks that we gathered this summer at the lake... I miss summer!

This summer we agreed that we would learn all about rocks this year so for Christmas Em is getting a few books etc on rocks... I am super pumped about this project!

One very excited girl waiting for Santa. I forgot how much five year olds love Christmas just old enough to remember and still young enough to be in awe of the magic of the season. This is going to be an awesome Christmas with our family all coming to Manitoba this year! I love having my brother home for the holidays he always brings a joyful presence with him! And this year is Kruz's first Christmas!!!

Goooooop

We made cornstarch and water goop today!

I found this awesome clip from The Ellen Show.

This literally went on for hours. I was too lazy to clean it up and left it in the middle of the kitchen floor all day. Em came back 5 or 6 times to play with it. She added food coloring and mixed colors added more water... the fun went on and on!

Homeschool Coop Day!

Have I mentioned yet how much I love this community of homeschoolers that the universe has blessed us with? I truly love coop days and it's the highlight of our week! This week was spontaneous because it is technically our week off but an email went out to the group on the weekend and we all jumped at the chance to get together. Two of our families were missing this week and I can't wait to see them again next week! Our hosts were Chiara and the boys they organized some spy games for the kids!

First was a spy maze of string and streamers up the stairs... Chiara really has the best house ever with stairs that just keep going up and up...
